The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions for the community.
SASSA are going to be rendering providers like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency said it can be alarmed regarding the high amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention from the Integrated Registration SRD Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some substantial variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This can be mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no entirely functional office focused on service the area daily. The services place created for intervention encounters a significant inflow of possible beneficiaries, which makes it tricky for here the office to attend to all people who check out a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra resources to permit the servicing of all shoppers and increase access to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
